Stafford County Parks and Recreation 
Government Island –Government Island contains a trail and interpretive signs to help depict its rich, nationally significant history. The first portion of the trail is paved, the second segment is a wooden boardwalk over the tidal creeks, and the third section is a natural hiking trail (footpath) around the island.

Aquia Landing – Open year-round, Aquia Landing provides nearly a quarter-mile of recreational beach on the Potomac River. It is a superb natural setting, surrounded by wooded and marshy areas.

Autumn Ridge Park - This 12-acre site located on Eustace Road in north/central Stafford features a baseball and soccer field (both irrigated), one small picnic shelter, and a playground.
